Custom Domains

Why use a custom domain?

By default, tracking links use the Trcker domain. A custom domain lets you replace that with your own brand (e.g., go.yourbrand.com), which improves trust, click-through rates, and brand consistency across all partner links.

Custom domains are free with your account — no extra charge.

Setting up a custom domain

Step 1: Go to Settings then Domain in your dashboard.

Step 2: Enter your desired domain (e.g., go.yourbrand.com). Subdomains work best — avoid using your root domain.

Step 3: Add a CNAME record in your DNS provider pointing your domain to:

` cname.vercel-dns.com `

For example, if you are using go.yourbrand.com, create a CNAME record with:

  • Host: go
  • Value: cname.vercel-dns.com

Step 4: Return to Trcker and click Verify Domain. DNS propagation usually takes a few minutes, but can occasionally take up to 24 hours depending on your DNS provider.

Once verified, all new tracking links for this brand will use your custom domain automatically. Existing links continue to work on the default domain.

Supported TLDs

You can use custom domains with the following top-level domains:

  • .com
  • .io
  • .co
  • .xyz
  • .link
  • .site
  • .online
  • .click
  • .fun

Tips

  • One domain per brand — If you run multiple brands, each can have its own custom domain
  • SSL is automatic — Trcker provisions an SSL certificate for your custom domain. No manual setup required.
  • Do not use your root domain — Use a subdomain like go., track., or links. to avoid conflicts with your main website
  • Test after setup — Click a tracking link using your custom domain to confirm it redirects correctly and records the click
